From the metropolis Johannesburg to rural communities in Northern Zambia, from Tanzania's agricultural sector to Nairobi’s ICT hubs,  Tthe Road to Nairobi 2016 project has connected youth entrepreneurs and local change-makers in eight African countries, to foster youth employment.
Tai Tanzania worked in partnership with The Building Bridges team of African and European youth, to conduct field visits to youth entrepreneurs, meet with local youth organizations and converse with youngsters from all walks of life.

We visited entrepreneurs from Dar es Salaam, Arusha, Kilimanjaro, Zanzibar, and Morogoro. At the end of this expedition, we hosted a multi-stakeholder event, to present real-life case studies and to propose better policies to increase the youth employment rate. Everyone involved learned from young people on the ground about their environments and challenges and pledged to work together on youth-driven solutions for youth employment and youth entrepreneurship. 

Tanzania was one of the 10 countries involved in the Road to Nairobi Project, among South Africa, Swaziland, Mozambique, Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Rwanda, Uganda, and Kenya. The project was finalized in Nairobi, Kenya, where a  Multi-Stakeholder's event was hosted. Two of which two selected entrepreneurs selected from Tanzania participated.
