“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world” Nelson Mandela
Despite education being free in Tanzania, many students are unable to attend school because their families cannot afford school uniforms, including shoes, backpacks and other school necessities. Sometimes these students face discrimination from teachers and fellow students due to their lack of proper school attires.
Through its education scholarship project, TAI Tanzania strives to help students from underprivileged, rural areas to overcome financial challenges to enable them to access better education opportunities. This is on a par with TAI’s belief in education as key to empowering youths and the community as whole.
TAI in partnership with Kipaji, a German organisation works to support students at Mongola Secondary School in Morogoro region in Tanzania whose biggest setback is lack of finance to obtain school basic needs and equipments. The initiative enables them to buy basic needs and school equipments such as school uniform, shoes, bags, textbooks, school meals, sanitary pads for girls, and a chance to learn effectively without having to worry about finding other alternatives.
We believe that each child deserves an equal opportunity for a better future. If they are effectively supported during these critical formative years, youth have the potential to change the world – both as empowered adolescents of today and as tomorrow’s workforce, parents and political leaders. They can drive change and help build a better future for all.

We are currently supporting 20 students, and there are still large number of student dropouts and absentees at Mongola Secodary school. Please help donate to support students attending Mongola Secondary School for January next year. It costs $175 to support one student meanwhile; our goal for 2019 is to raise $3,500.
Contribution made will be directed to the project, to make every dollar count in supporting these students in the most effective way possible.
You can also help to spread the word by sharing this campaign on social media, with family and friends.
Thank you in advance for your support!
